His talk will cover a variety of facts and information including how to break into film-making in Hollywood without having to move there, how to build an awesome demo reel and resume quickly, how to open doors others can’t, the do’s and don’ts of submitting for Hollywood movie roles, and fail safe auditioning tips. Bishop’s energetic speaking style combined with his passion for film-making is sure to keep everyone’s interest.

The Central Illinois Film Commission is a membership organization dedicated to promoting central Illinois as a historical and film-friendly region, attracting and serving the film, television, video, photography, documentary, and music industries, while promoting and supporting the talent, services, and experience of our members.

Hope to see you there!

Bishop joined the CIFC in Oct 2014, and in just 4 1/2 yrs he has gone from being an extra and featured extra on hit tv shows such as Empire and Chicago P.D., to securing more prominent roles in full-length motion pictures.  He has appeared in movies alongside Nicolas Cage and Chance the Rapper among others.  Saint Louis’ Riverfront Times recently interviewed him and was featured on their cover.

As for future plans, Bishop has several movie projects in the works.  In a departure from movie roles, he has recently been signed as lead character Salem Tusk for a new Marvel/Disney TV pilot.  Created by Marvel Comic artist Tom Rasch, it is currently titled “The Steampunk Adventures of Salem Tusk”.

In addition, Bishop will appear in a central Illinois produced horror film entitled “Trick and Treats” being produced by Heroic Age Studios of Mt. Zion, IL.  It is currently in production.
