January Meeting – Behind the Scenes of the Route 66 Film Festival

Join us at the CIFC monthly meeting to learn how Route 66 Film Festival has beaten those odds to become a success yearly endeavor and is looking forward to its 18th festival on November 1 and 2, 2019. Lana Wildman and Thea Chesley, Route 66 Festival organizers, will talk about the the Fest and share some of the behind the scenes information on the inner workings of what it takes to run a successful film festival.  They will cover rules for submitting films, sources of funding, judging, and more.  They’ll also share industry statistics on film festivals in general and show a few very short films.

Our meeting will be on Thursday, January 17 at 7:00pm at the Wyndham Springfield City Centre in the Grille Breakfast room. The Wyndham is located at 700 E Adams Street in downtown Springfield, IL. Free parking is available on the street. Paid parking is available in the parking garage attached to the Wyndham. Our meetings are free and open to the public.
